Cottage Renovation

The Cottage has been renovated with a new kitchen, floor tiles, carpet and a coat of paint (well three actually!!).

Winter Wonderland

Autumn has passed and winter is in full swing here in Bright, with its enchanting frosty and sometimes misty mornings, invigorating bright sunny days and crisp fresh nights, it a great time to visit.The occassional wet day makes for a great excuse to snuggle beside a log fire with good food and company. The daffodils and wattle are ready to bloom and lambs, kids and calves are filling the paddocks with their delightful antics. It is a great time of the year to  spend on the farm, or out and about. Aspens Springs Farmstay is a great family friendly place to stay and visit the ski fields of Hotham, Fallls Creek or Mount Buffalo, or indulge in a winery walkabout, enjoy hiking, biking, or the gourmet foods and interest shops that the region has to offer.  On the crisp clear evenings a great day may be wound up with cheer and bonhomie around a bonfire with family and friends.

New Poultry

We have just acquired some new poultry.  We now have a selection of rare breeds including speckled hamburgs, turkeys, some very pretty Plymouths (red,black and blue) and another team of Wyndots. We still have the old favourites the peacocks roaming the grounds and expect to see some peababies in this Summer. The turkeys are an interesting lot with 3 big gobblers showing off to anyone who will watch and listen!!

Fishing and Yabbying

 Yabbies are still biting and we have nets and string for the skilled catcher. Our lake has some large red fin much to the chagrin of recent guests who only had tales of the one that got away. Perhaps your angling skills will be better!
